Broadway veteran John Foley is a noted musician, actor and educator currently practicing in the Chicago, Illinois area. He graduated from the University of North Carolina (B.A. English). He arrived in New York playing the cowardly Bob Ford in the off-Broadway hit Diamond Studs: the Life of Jesse James with Dodger Productions. He studied acting with William Esper at the Neighborhood Playhouse, and is a co-creator of the Tony-nominated musical Pump Boys and Dinettes. The show enjoys long-running productions throughout the world.
John continues to act and direct in regional theaters around the country. In 1999, John returned to school in order to teach English and theater. He became certified in 2001 and has taught in public schools in New York, as well as North Shore Country Day School, Chicago Academy for the Arts and the Center for Talent Development at Northwestern University.
